What is the Michigan Expositors Summit?

The Michigan Expositors Summit is an annual gathering of pastors, ministry leaders, and seminary students who come together to fellowship, network, and gain new tools to become better expositors of God’s Word.

Our Program

Our program is an annual, half-day expository preaching seminar. We share a breakfast together, participate in three workshops led by a seasoned expositor, and then have lunch. The full cost of this event is carried by Grace Baptist Church so it can be offered to our participants free of charge.

Our 2025 Speaker:  Michael Wittmer

Michael Wittmer (PhD, Calvin Theological Seminary) is Senior Pastor of Cedar Springs Baptist Church near Grand Rapids and a professor of systematic and historical theology at Cornerstone Theological Seminary. He is a dedicated pastor, scholar, and blogger who writes accessible books on theology and Christian worldview for the church.

A member of the Evangelical Theological Society, Dr. Wittmer regularly presents at the association’s regional and national conferences. From 2016 to 2018, he also served as a member of the regional discussion fellowship for the Creation Project, an initiative hosted by the Henry Center of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
