From October 16-18, 2023, over 180 pastors, elders, church members, and children gathered in Muskegon for three days of refreshment and renewal. This annual conference of the Bridge Fellowship of Michigan took place at Maranatha Bible and Missionary Conference Center, a location that perfectly served the purposes of this year’s gathering.
The theme of the conference was Renew, and that focus was developed through the three main sessions. Doug Crawford, Executive Director of the state association, preached from John 21 on “Renewing our Passion.” During the second evening, Jon Jenks from Baptist Church Planters preached from Matthew 28 on “Renewing our Mission.” The conference closed with a final session, “Renewing our Fellowship,” during which attendees heard updates from different churches involved in revitalization, merging, and pastoral succession.
Other highlights included morning worship and prayer sessions, a full children’s program, ladies’ luncheon and fellowship, breakout sessions focused on ministry areas, select exhibitors, and lots of relaxation and conversation during delicious meals and free time activities.
All who attended were encouraged and rejuvenated for gospel work. While the needs in Michigan are great, the church partnerships and ministry initiatives are increasing and are proving to be effective. The leaders of the Bridge Fellowship praise God for a wonderful conference.
