Ministry Opportunity (Grand Rapids)

DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN’S AND WOMEN’S MINISTRIES OVERVIEW

Trinity Baptist Church of Grand Rapids is seeking a full-time Director of Children’s & Women’s Ministries. Our average weekly attendance is approximately 400-500. We have a strong expository preaching and teaching ministry that has brought many families to the church. We are now seeking to complement with a strong Children’s & Women’s ministry director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Children Ministries

  • Strengthen existing Children ministries as a means of discipleship for our children and their families. (Sunday/Wednesday)
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of Children’s ministries within the church.
  • Develop necessary programs/curricula to achieve these goals.
  • Possess the ability to communicate, recruit, plan, delegate, schedule, organize and lead effectively.
  • Update and Maintain Child Protection Policy that achieves the safety of our children and meets the standards of Insurance expectation.
  • Direct report to Pastor with oversight of Youth or Family Discipleship.

Women Ministries

  • Provide Leadership and direction for Women’s Ministry Team
  • Provide, create, and promote ministries that teach, equip and enhance spiritual growth. (i.e. Women’s conferences, Bible studies, fellowships, etc.)
  • Recruit and organize godly women in the congregation in providing soul-care to women.
  • Direct report to Pastor of Adult Discipleship.

Administration

  • Ensure all ministries under your oversight are working in harmony and communicating effectively; and provide direction when necessary.
  • Other responsibilities as considered necessary by the Lead Pastor.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Agreement with the Trinity Baptist Church Statement of Faith and Bylaws with a personal commitment to Christian faith and values.
  • A Degree in Childhood Education and/or Bible is preferred.
  • Experience working with Children in a ministry or educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to collaborate with volunteers and parents.
  • Knowledge of child safety and security best practices.
  • Member/will become a member of Trinity Baptist Church
  • Physical Requirement: This role may require standing, walking, and engaging activities with children for extended periods. The director of children’s ministries should also be able to lift and move materials and supplies as needed
