HELP! No, I am not writing this to plead for your help. This article is my desire to offer help that churches and ministries discipling children and/or teens need in this day and age.
ECAP (Evangelical Council for Abuse Prevention) will be at Trinity Baptist Church (Grand Rapids) on March 1 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. While it is sad that a ministry like ECAP exists, it is such a help.
This national organization has been a tremendous help to the ministry of Trinity Baptist Church as we work to improve our child protection policies and procedures. We recently became an ECAP member, and it has been such a blessing and help.
ECAP will also be at the Church Ministries Conference Friday night and Saturday. Jeremy Herron is a workshop presenter during the 2nd and 3rd sessions.
However, this pre-conference meeting is designed to help ministry leaders learn about child protection measures and connect with ECAP. You will have the opportunity to meet and talk with Jeremy and other ministry leaders.
We set it up at this time so you can come to the meeting, get dinner (not included), and then head over to Calvary Baptist Church for the conference. (If you are attending the conference)
Please consider sending at least one representative to this meeting time.
