He must work to understand what the Bible says about various questions and issues Christians face. He must shepherd God’s people to think biblically about every area of life. He must teach them who God is and what He has commanded. He must discern truth from error so that he can warn and protect the flock from false teaching. If a pastor fails in this task\, the church will be theologically shallow and easily deceived. Theology is not meant to be done in the academy but in and for the church. DESCRIPTION:Selah … a time to pause and reflect! Our 2024 Annual Conference is returning to the beautiful Maranatha Bible and Missionary Conference Center in Norton Shores. It will again provide a time away for pastors and their families while meeting for fellowship\, challenge\, and encouragement. \nThe keynote sessions will focus on various Psalms that call us to pause and reflect during the various seasons of our lives. And our breakout sessions will help us all to think biblically and strategically about the demands of ministry that can keep us up at night. Women will have a separate session on Tuesday morning focusing on “Balancing Ministry\, Motherhood\, and Friendships.” \nWe invite and encourage all pastors to ask your congregation to let you set apart this time because it is vital to recharge. DESCRIPTION:Baptist Mid-Missions is hosting a Church Revitalization Seminar at their Global Ministry Center in Cleveland\, OH June 4-6. This is the same seminar that has been offered as a for-credit class at Faith Baptist Bible College and will be offered this Fall at Bob Jones Seminary as a for-credit module.  The course is designed for the pastor or pastor-in-training\, because we believe local church renewal happens under good shepherding influence.  \nTHERE IS NO COST TO ATTEND\, and the seminar includes lunches and 1 dinner.
